JUSTIFICATION.
Due to time constraints, it will be difficult to visit all these areas and also because of the crises in the anglophone regions will make movement difficulty to carry a better or have quality report for the project. So, the study will be limited to the affordable size zone in investigating the effect of pot-harvest challenges of tomatoes production on small holder’s farmers in Mile 16 Community.

Temporal scope.
This study will be carried out and completed within the time period of 5 months and some few weeks. All the work will be done with in this period, and the final chapter will be submitted before the end of May 2022.
1.7 Significance of study
· To government.
The government is sensitive about the important of the tomatoes production of the welling being of the state and is concerned to ensure that its position and role should not undermined tomatoes production and marketing system in Buea is getting unstable since the Anglophone crises is causes distraction to local and national government about marketing system and food crop production in Buea. But this topic will help or have important to the local authorities and national government on how to select food crops depend on the market ‘system and the present situation of the environment. Legal institutional frame works related to right of food. This study will help the government to help provide insecticide and fertilizer to help remedy the problems of production by smallholders in Buea.

The tomato is a major vegetable crop that has achieve tremendous popularity over the last century. It is grown in practically in Mile 16 and Muea and other places in Buea Municipality-in outdoor fields. The tomato plant is very versatile and the crop can be divided into two categories; fresh market tomatoes, which we are concerned with and processing tomatoes, which are grown only outdoors for the canning industry and mechanically harvested. In both cases, world production and consumption has grown quite rapidly over the past 25 years. To will help farmers to generate income to suppost their living. Also, mitigation which are suggestion to help improve farming will be a graet help to farmers.
Tomatoes, aside from being tasty, are very healthy as they are a good source of vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is important for bone growth, cell division and differentiation, for helping in the regulation of immune system and maintaining surface linings of eyes, respiratory, urinary and intestinal tracts. Vitamin C is important in forming collagen, a protein that gives structures to bones, cartilage, muscle and blood vessels. It also helps maintain capillaries, bones and teeth and aids in the absorption of iron for farmer who practicing farming.
· To the Community
Tomatoes production play a vital role in the society (economy) over 70% of the rural households depend on food cops to survive. Agriculture is an important sector in the society of Buea as it contributes about 17% to the total G.D.P and provides employment to over 60% of the population. Tomatoes production is important because they show the intricate relationship in ecosystem. This study will help the society how to react to smallholders on their prices change in tomatoes in the market.
They reveal how each organization depends as on else or survival. Tomatoes production productivity of field and forage crops. Ensuring sound use of natural resources among the society dwellers such as granaries cribs, basket, clay pot, and roof of houses.
Buea is located between latitude 4o09’09-degree N longitude 9o14’27-degree E with an elevation of above sea level: 870m=2854ft. Below is the map of Buea Municipality (map 1.1)

The Buea municipality is the sub division headquarters of Buea and the head quarter of the south west of Cameroon. Created on the 29 of June 1977 by presidential decree No. 77\203, the Buea municipality has a surface area of 870 sq. km. The Buea municipality is bounded to the north by tropical forest on the slope of mount Cameroon (4100m above the sea level) it shares the boundary with Limbe in the south west, Tiko municipality to the south east, Muyuka municipality to the east and Idenau district to the west. Buea is one of the growing towns in Cameroon with a constellation of about 67 villages. Its urban rims include Mile 16, Molyko, Great Soppo, Buea town, Clerks and Federal quarter, Likoko-Membe, GRA, and Bokwaongo.
